Availability
The voucher may be used any day of the week subject to
availability.
How far ahead should I book the
session?
Best to give us at least 4-6 weeks notice.
My band are keen to make a 3 song CD which
can be sent to record companies, is it possible to do in one
day?
Yes, providing you are well rehearsed and have the song arrangement
down. SALT Studio has recorded many demos for bands which have
become instrumental in them securing a record deal!
I am a singer and wish to sing to a
backing track of my favourite song, can you arrange
that?
Yes, give us enough notice and we can arrange it providing the
track is available.
I want to make the day a family
occasion,do you allow spectators?
Yes we welcome family and friends (up to 5 people). They can bring
along camera and video equipment to record your experience.
Refreshments are available free of charge and there are local cafes
and shops for meals.
I have never been in a recording studio
before. Do you work with inexperienced musicians?
Yes, our friendly engineers have lots of experience with first
timers and will guide and advise you through the day to ensure it’s
an enjoyable experience for you.
How long is this voucher valid
for?
One year from purchase date written on your voucher.
So how do I book a session?
Simply call 087 276 5754 and book your time. Please give as much
advance notice as possible so that we can accommodate your request.
We will send you an email confirming your date has been booked.
I am in a band but only my name is on the
voucher,can I still record my band?
Yes absolutely no problem. The voucher is for a days recording -
individual or group!
If I need more time to complete my project
can I avail of the special Christmas rate for an extra
day(s)?
Yes providing the time requested is associated with the same
project, ie finishing an album/EP/book etc.
Okay,what if I need to have musicians
there to help me,can you arrange that?
Yes for an additional cost we can. Please give prior notice to
arrange.
I may need additional CDS made. Can you do
that?
Yes, but once the number goes over 10 it is more cost effective to
have them duplicated off site. We can and will arrange that for
you. CD’s cost €25 for first one and €15 thereafter (price includes
CD set up and burn time)
What preparations should I make for the
session?
If you are a guitarist/bassist or drummer please bring spare
strings and sticks! Vocalists should type out the lyrics to songs
they are intending on singing. It’s a good idea to check the key of
the song to ensure it suits your voice. Please call if you have any
questions.
What if I need to come back at a later
date and re-do or re mix my CD,will you be able to do
that?
Yes we can, however you will need to burn all your multi-track
files onto a DVD so that we can then open up your session when you
return. Salt Studio holds clients work on the Apple Mac hard drive
for one week after end of session. Beyond that date they are then
deleted. It is highly recommended that you have your files burnt
onto DVD to guarantee options for the future. DVDS cost €35 to burn
(DVD set up and burn time)
Is this voucher refundable?
We regret that there are no refunds with this Gift Voucher
What is your cancellation
policy?
Once your session has been confirmed in writing by email
(saltstudio@mac.com) it will not be possible to reschedule or
cancel without incurring an additional charge of €95.This fee is
used to offset the costs involved in lost studio time and engineer
cancellation fee.

studio?
